Sma have been trading for over 40 years initially incorporated to repair all types of electric motors.The business has developed over the years to also include the repair of gearboxes,fans and pumps ,both in-house and on-site.We also stock a full range of new motors,gearboxes and pumps.

Our engineers are also certified to repair flameproof motors to ATEX specification.

In June 2007 we purchased Banham & Thorpe Engineering in order to extend the scope of services available.We can now offer full machining facilities to both manufacture and repair components in either batch or individual form.In addition we offer Cad drawing facilities,machine design and build service, and on-site engineering services

Machine downtimes are of course costly to businesses so we offer 24 hour,7 days a week coverage.
